We decided to let off some steam at the last minute for dinner the other night (boy, we needed it too). So we went to Morton's Steakhouse for dinner, since we had a few gift cards to Mortons. We had a nice pleasant night. . . Mary ordered the Prime Rib, but it didn't say 48 oz's on the menu, so when it came out, she sure was shocked , (almost as shocked on our wedding night-hahahaha).

We have had our power off for the past Five days here in the San Gabriel Valley, due to STRONG Winds that blew down just about everything. So I could not place a nice Birthday wish to my Beautiful wife, Mary. . .

This may be a few days late, but it holds a few day stronger of Love. Mary Jean is the most beautiful, sweet gal, I have ever met. She is there for me, and for our children. She puts me in my place when needed. . . especially lately, with all we have been going thru. . .

On her birthday, I took her and a very few friends, and had a very low, private intimate dinner. I suprized her with roses, and a traditional cake (It wasn't very good-Sorry). Very low profile for us, with birthdays, but Mary and I enjoyed the evening. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART @!

Last night, we went to the Greek Festival here at Santa Anita race track. We always Love the Festival ! So we go and order our favorists . . . "Lamb chops". The gal helping us looked so familiar. . and when I heard her voice . . it hit me, and I said, "Your the gal on Flipping out", and I was trying to spudder and remember her name, when she said, Jennie. Just as Mary walks up, she heard me say, "Flipping out show" and Mary blurts out, "Hey, you look just like the Jennie on Flipping out", and her response. . . "that is me!". . . O, the priceless look on Mary's face!!!!!

Saturday on 9/10/11 at 1234pm Jenny and Eric were Married on Catalina Island. You need to take the boat (Never thought I'd be a boat person), to the 22 mile away Island. (Years ago, I got Mary really thinking that Catalina island was the Hawaiian Islands ! ). (Fun times). We had never been to Catalina. It was pretty cool ! It was a very nice wedding !!! This is one I have never heard of before ! Yesterday, we were beginning to smell something very faint. . . but rotten. We went through the cubboards, thru the refirgerator, and we thought, we must have a dead critter up in the attic. So I called "Walsh's Pest control" that takes care of our house to come over, and go up into the attic to find it. Today, he came, and went up, and came back down empty. . . NOTHING!. So we pulled the refrigerator back out, he pulled off the bakc of the refer, and found a few mouse droppings, but nothing ! He kept smelling, and all of a sudden he jumped back, and said LOUDLY . . ."There it is !". The dead mouse was right there at the plug-in outlet, with his head barely sticking out ! He obviously crawled up, and was trying to get out of the wall, when he touched both electrical posts, and got electricuted ! When the pest guy pulled him out, he was burnt on his mousey belly, like burnt toast !!! Problem and weirdness solved !!!!

Last night, we did "a wild and Crazy" thing ! We took off for the afternoon, in the Mustang, and drove to Vegas, just to have dinner at our favorite restaurant. . . "THE PRIME". What an evening of fun, and being together all alone for the evening. . . We did a little gambing, walked alittle, and then drove back home, all the way back in 3 hours !! (The Tang can move ! )

The guys at THE PRIME, even brought us out a special dessert, and it said "Welcome Back" on the dessert plate. (Sorry the photo turned out so blurry). We will definitely do this more often !!!

Eric and Karina Phillips had their baby boy yesterday, July 2nd, 2011. He came into the world at 10:30am. He weighs 7pounds 1ounce. 21 inches long. He looks just like me ! (hahaha). Tonight, it was my choice as to whee I wanted to go eat. Tonight was just our special night to be alone. . ( I Love being with my wife, after all these years, each time alone with her is more nad more special and meaningful to me). We had a great dinner at Spagos in Beverly Hills ! The food is always spectacular. We have eaten there a number of times, and always seem to miss Wolf gang. . . but not tonight ! He came over to our table, and visited with us for a few minutes. What a treat !! The food was great, the atomosphere was great, and meeting Wolf gang topped it. Mary had an awesome fish, and I had the New York Kobe beef. We then tried the Peach cobbler and chocolate carmel milk dessert. What a Night !!!!!

Today, Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home here in Monrovia have the honor of taking care of one of our honored fallen firemen. The casket is already placed on the Fire truck and ready to process to the Church. Thre is over 100 firemen and police here.

It was actually a boring game. The dodger's lost to the Mariners, but the upper level caught on fire ! It was a warehouse section, and boy, at times the smoke just bellowed out like crazy. It filled the statium at times, where you couldn't stand the smoke. The bright lights keep the photo from really showing the smoke, but you can see everyone looking up, and being concerned. In the photo, you can see the smoke surrounding the bright lights . . .

The bathroom addition is coming along. As you can see the shower was "hot-mopped" yesterday. The sheet rock is almost done. Mary and I had nothing to do today, so we decided to clean up all of the trash, and took it to another large dumpster. They should be done by the 19th. and we will have our home back !!!

The roof is on, the windows are in, and the insulation is complete, and the sheet rock is going up. The window in the spare bedroom is gone, and sill be sheetrocked tomorrow. Tomorrow the shower is getting the hot mop. Hopefully, this should be done within a 2 1/2 week more timing. . . . YES !!!!

What a heck of a week. I got my left knee replaced with a total knee replacement on Monday. I thought I was going to die ! I think it scared me more to see all of the tubes, the probes, the machines, the meters, etc, placed all over me, on me, inside me. It feels like I am wearing a 20 pound concrete bucket around my knee. Trying to learn how to walk again is a trip!~

It has come to the point that I Terry J Harmon, will need to have full knee replacement. . . I am sad, and worried, but feeling this pain, will hopefully make up for all that I am going thru. Surgery is set for April 11th. . . just two weeks away !!!!! I will be in the hospital ffor almost the whole week. . . .

OK. . . I warned you. . . My knee is in sad shape. Dr. Q said it is up to me to replace it. Probably will only last a few months. So I will probably give up and get it replaced July 19th, when new technology will come out.

Today I had my 7th knee Surgery. (5 on the left, 2 on the right). This one has been rough one, as I write this tonight. IT HURTS !!!! Dr. Siad he did some scraping, pulling, cutting, etc, this will hopefully hold for awhile. May I say something. . . Today I was very touched, because Dr. Quigley set this up, and came in just for me. I was his only surgery today. WHAT A MAN !!!! He is the most kindest, gentelest man. Dr. Quigley is a class act. I wish more Dr.'s were like him, and cared about their patients as much as he does. Mary and I just love, and respect the man. Thank You Dr. Quiqley.

Wow ! Can it really be 15 years ago today, my life was totally changed. . . for the better. I have been reminiscing about this day for quite some time now. I look at it with some special angles, some twists and some turns, but I always come back to the one special thing in my life . . . that I still am in Love with you ! Sure, we have had some rocky roads, some up's and down's, some frustrations in our lives, but this is what had made our relationship so much better, and stronger ! We have conquered the troubling times, and have learned from them. We have become a better couple. . . a more tolerate couple. . . a more patiene couple. . .to each other. Let us not forget the faboulous and special times we have had together. . . so many to choose from, and still not enought to fill our hearts; yet.

Mary, giving me that ultimatium fifteen years ago, was so frightening for me. I was balancing on a high-wire rope with one foot each day trying to figure out what I needed in my life, what was important in my life. . . and what decisions I had to make. Luckily. . . you were there to push me off of that tight-rope, and at the same time, you were there to catch me, and be there for me. The moment at our small private wedding, I said "I do"; I knew I had said the most two important words in my life, and I am so grateful, that I did say make that decision to marry you, and only you ! For the last fifteen years, my life "has been complete!" (actually 17 years). I Thank my Heavenly Father every day for you coming into my life, Mary. The day I met you at the cemetery, I felt this strong impression that "you were all-right!!. Never in my mind, would I have ever thought that someday, you would be my wife, and my eternal companion. I treasure the times we have had toghter. I am so grateful, for those rough times in our marriage. . . the roughest being homeless for nearly two months, and you didn't give up on me. You believed in me. I am grateful for you being my bride, my wife, my friend, my voice, my hear, my rock, and most of all, ,my love, and my one and only who never gives up on me. I cherish your smile ! I adore your wit ! I bask in the twinkle in those beautiful eyes. I applaud your patience ! I am amazed what you create ! Your passions ! Your dedications ! I love you being you !

I cherish the little things you do in our home, and for me. You make our home a place of Love and hard work. I am touched every morning when I open my drawers, and find my under garments folded perfect, my socks together, and our home always clean.

We are enjoying our Anniversary weekend here in Las Vegas. We are going to our favorite restuarants, and just doing a lot of walking and shopping. Last night we bought a signed autographed guitar. . . all signed by "The Eagles" !!, one of my favorite rock groups. This Hotel suite in at the new Cosmopolitian Hotel is awesome. Mary was being lazy in the bed. The best Buffet ever today at the Cosmos, with those awesome "Red Velvet Pancakes". There is a photo of the outside the cosmopolitan hotel. . . we are near the top.

Yesterday, we had a funeral service at the Greek Orthodox Church. As you can see, the church has picketers from the local union, saying "Shame on St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church", because the contractor they are using is not using the union to build the new hall. I asked them to move down the road. . .they ignored me . . . I got pissed, and I told them off, and believe me, I got my feathers ruffeled !!! So I got smart, and pulled my vehicles in front of them so no one could see them ! They moved down the road !! Yes. . . I am the winner !!

The weekend weather has been great !! 83 degrees for Saturday and Sunday. Even the dogs have to try and get a tan outdoors !!!

Today, I decided to drive the Harley hearse instead of one of the other guys for a funeral. I really didn't want to, but . . . .what the heck. Man, did it feel good to ride ! I snapped this photo of the bike while during the graveside service. IT was over 75 degrees, and I got hot in the cool vests we wear. Over the horizon you can see the fog, over the ocean. What a gorgous day. It lifted my spirits, . . . .as I have needed some lifting for awhile.

A little tramatizing

This morning I came upon a 2-vehicle accident, that had just happened. I ran across the busy street, and was the first there on the scene. I was horrified to hear screaming in the vehicle that was upsidedown. I looked for the driver, (she had been flipped out or the car), I opened the back seat door, and was two little ones upsidedown (luckily, in there car seats). They were both screaming ! Ireached in there, help the little one up for support, and got him released out of his car seat. . . passed him onto someone, and then went in the car, and got the other little guy out. Luckily, as the gas poured out, it did not ignited. As you can see in the other car, the asian lady was nine months pregnant, standing there in her car. . . I left her alone. Very disturbing hearing those screams. . .I am fighting tears today. . . .

We are having a great time with the kids here in Las Vegas. What a great dinner tonight at the Prime with them all. Holly, Mitch and the kids got here for the first night. The others, (Jeff, Lacy, Russell, Ashley, and Heather) got here today.

Tonight, we took some awesome photos of all of the family, with all four children, their three spouses, and 7 grandchildren. We will post the photos later this week. What treasures we have in our family !

Yesterday, our neighbors home was invaded. Some idiot broke into their back door, and stole a number of personal items. How sad. . . how violated they feel. The good thing is . . Our security camera showed what vehicle was used. It is obvious in the monitor that it was that vehicle. So the police came over ane watched also our security system. We will definitely know what vehicle to look for in our neighborhood. I am so glad we have our "killer" watch dogs to protect our home!

What food !!! What weight we have gained here !!! But again. . . .What food !!!!!!! It has been an awesome time here. Almost didn't want to come here, but WOW, we are sooooo glad we came. The only shocker was "Bourbon street". . . it makes Las Vegas look like a sweet Virgin.

Mary and Ron were cookin some "Banana's Foster" and crepes! (Ron was gettin a lil' too close to my wife there!)

We went in and ate at the famous Cafe Du Monde's for breakfast, Benit's. What a beautiful area for the French Quarter area. Along the banks of the Mississippi is the awesome site. Well, it Mary can do it, so can it ! But this time I had to "Silent Auction" my way to get an official signed Football helmet, by the Green Bay Packers ! We can't believe we will be coming home with 2 Professional Football Helmets.

Tonight, we all attended a Regions Trust and Bank Dinner, here in New Orleans. (We kinda didn't want to go), but, we thought we'd go for Jim. So the dinner had raffle prizes, and we all had minature Saints Helmets at each of our place sittings. Underneath the small Helmet was the raffle number. They had some great prizes, and our group did not get called once for the raffle. . . . until the GRAND PRIZE, and the last Prize of the night. . . .NUMBER 59 !!!!! Guess who had #59?!?!?!?!? Yep! Mary Jean !!! She jumped up and down, screamed like there was "no Tomorrow" !!!! It is an autographed signed "New Orleans Saints" Football helmet, signed by the National Champion Quarter back . . . "Drew Brees"!!! We have the certificate of authentincity, and to show it is real. To think . . . we almost didn't go!!!

Today, after board meetings, we took a walk around the French Quarters. What alot better sight than on Bourbon Street. The sexy gal above, on the balcony, threw me some beads, and wanted me real bad ! Good thing I am very happily married !!!!!!! Mary says if I ever wear that girls beads. . .she was going to feed me to the Gators !!!
